CIS Developmental Disabilities Specialist
Short Summary:
CPC is looking for human services professionals to join our Crisis Intervention Specialist team. This position will specialize in the area of Developmental Disabilities. Will attend the CSOC Developmental Disabilities meetings, will gather, maintain and organize resources for youth with DD. Will also assist caregivers with the DD application as required and will assist other CIS staff to link their clients to appropriate DD resources as needed. CPC offers free clinical supervision, including supervision that qualifies towards LCSW, LPC and LCADC eligibility.

Description
The CIS DD Specialist will specialize in the area of Developmental Disabilities. Will attend the CSOC Developmental Disabilities meetings, will gather, maintain and organize resources for youth with DD. Will also assist caregivers with the DD application as required and will assist other CIS staff to link their clients to appropriate DD resources as needed. In addition to the DD responsibilities, you will provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services to clients and families; review cases with supervisor, formulate diagnosis, assess appropriate treatment and case management interventions and coordinate care. Complete agency and DHS required paperwork in a timely fashion as well as maintain updated records on all clients assigned.
Responsibilities
The CIS will deliver on their DD specialist responsibilities as well as provide Crisis Response services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and provide specific services and interventions for up to 72 hours. Complete an initial assessment of the client's needs based on program requirements and develop and Individual Crisis Plan. Re-evaluate the client throughout treatment to identify any new needs or problem areas. The CIS will make at least weekly calls to the client, which are documented in a timely manner. The CIS will be required to work a combination of day and evening shift hours and, in some instances weekends. Currently this is a remote position working from home doing telehealth along with going on frequent visits within the community. Once we resume normal operations this position will require working at an assigned work site.
Requirements
A Master's Degree in human services-oriented field, a degree in special education preferred, plus 1 year prior experience providing treatment services to children or adolescents is required. A valid NJ Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
If Social Work degree, must be a NJ LSW is preferred.
Annual Salary Range- $65,000.00-$75,000.00 Based on experience
