VP of Human Resources

CPC Integrated Health is a non-profit, community-based agency that has provided mental health and substance use services in Monmouth and Ocean counties for over 65 years. With a $45 million budget and over 300 staff, we are committed to high-quality care and operational excellence in mental health and substance use services.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vice President of Human Resources (VP of HR) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes supervision of a three-person team (including payroll) and active collaboration with both the executive team and staff across the organization. The VP of HR is responsible for developing and managing HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support employee engagement, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Location: Eatontown NJ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
  • Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding
  • Supervise a team of three HR staff, including payroll
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Advise and support managers in handling performance, discipline, and employee concerns
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, compensation, and benefits administration
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, systems, and reporting tools

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
  • At least five (5) years of supervisory and administrative experience in human resources
  • Demonstrated experience in a hands-on HR leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in behavioral healthcare or nonprofit settings is preferred
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
