About High Point Schools
High Point School is a State of New Jersey approved, private school for students with disabilities. Students who attend are ages 5-21, and grades K-12, from school districts throughout New Jersey.
At High Point School, we surround each child with a caring and skilled safety-net of support-it's an approach where each child has a team of professionals who embrace their journey, every step of the way-academically, socially, psychologically, and in terms of their physical needs. With this integrated & highly personalized approach, our team collaborates with input from the student's family while meeting regularly to discuss each student's success which makes all the difference in setting the stage for their growth and progress.
Why are High Point Schools different? The staff-to-student ratio is one teaching staff to three students. Class sizes are limited to 12. Our 1:3 ratio means that each child's individual educational plan is thoughtfully carried out. High Point Schools combine a comprehensive academic curriculum with evidence based positive behavior supports and a wide array of therapeutic services to promote a positive and effective learning environment. Our team creates a safe environment for students and includes: psychiatrists, nurses, teachers and teaching assistants, licensed clinical social workers, and crisis intervention specialists.
