Medical Biller/ Accounts Receivable Specialist (in-person)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and experience with Medicaid and Commercial billing processes. This role is responsible for accurate data entry, payment posting, claims management, and providing excellent support to clients, therapists, and external agencies.

Job Title: Medical Biller/Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Eatontown, NJ (in-person only)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter and track Medicaid authorizations.
  • Post Medicaid payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enter data related to service contacts and review billed reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow up on adjustments to claims and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain all Medicaid billing records and correspondence, including daily recording of payments and claim status.
  • Respond professionally to billing inquiries from clients, therapists, or outside agencies.
  • Collaborate with billing staff regarding Medicaid eligibility issues.

Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a billing/accounts receivable role, or training related to medical billing and working with Medicaid.
  • Prior experience with Medicaid and Commercial Insurance billing / Accounts Receivable preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with data entry and billing software.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination required
